No query parameters.
URL Inspector separates a website address into components and lists its decoded query parameters. It parses the address locally without navigating to it or contacting its host.
https://example.com/search?q=hello+world&tag=pdf&tag=image#results has host example.com, path /search, fragment results, and three query parameters. q decodes to hello world; both tag values remain visible.
Parsing does not establish that a site is safe, genuine or reachable. A syntactically valid URL can still be misleading. Default ports can disappear through normalization; this is expected browser behavior. Query values can contain private tokens even when account credentials are omitted, so check a report before sharing it.
Runs locally, with a 10,000-character URL limit. Uses the browser URL parser, which normalizes hostnames and default ports. Path and fragment keep percent escapes; query names and values are decoded by URLSearchParams, where + becomes a space. Duplicate query keys retain their order. Credentials are flagged as present but username and password are omitted from the report.
No. It parses the text without fetching the destination.
URLs can contain repeated query parameters. Both are preserved rather than overwritten.
