Compare two texts side by side, highlight changed words and download a readable difference report.
Enter your content and choose the action you need.
Text stays in your browser. Up to 40,000 characters and 500 lines per side.
Red marks removed text; green marks added text. Unchanged lines remain visible for context.
Compare Text shows line additions and removals side by side. Within paired changed lines, it highlights changed words when the lines are short enough for an inline comparison.
Changing “Send the draft on Monday.” to “Send the final draft on Tuesday.” marks the replaced line and highlights final and Tuesday. The counts describe changed lines, not the number of changed words.
This compares plain text, not document formatting or meaning. Moved lines can appear as a removal and an addition. Ignoring case or spacing can hide changes that matter in code. The download is a readable difference report, not a patch file for applying changes.
Runs entirely in your browser with no text upload. Limit: 40,000 characters and 500 lines per side. Word highlights are shown for paired lines with at most 120 whitespace/word tokens per side; longer lines receive line-level highlighting. Ignore extra spaces trims lines and collapses whitespace; it does not remove blank lines.
No. The comparison and report download are generated in the browser.
This tool accepts pasted plain text. Extract or copy the text first; formatting is not compared.
