How to use Image to PDF

What this tool helps you do

Image-to-PDF conversion places one or more raster images onto document pages. Page size, orientation, margins, image order, and compression determine whether the result is suitable for screen viewing or printing.

When it is useful

A practical example

For three photographed receipts, upload the three images and arrange them oldest to newest. Choose A4, Auto orientation and Fit to page. Keep one-PDF mode on. The result should contain three pages in the chosen order; open it and check that no totals were cut off.

Limitations and common mistakes

Fill-page fitting can crop the edges. A PDF does not sharpen a blurry photograph or make its words searchable. Transparent pixels are flattened for the embedded JPEG image. Animated image inputs do not become an animated PDF. Large batches may exhaust memory on a phone.

How to use Image to PDF

  1. Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP images, up to 20 MB each.
  2. Arrange the thumbnails in the required page order.
  3. Choose page size, orientation, margins and image fit. Use Fit to page to keep the whole image visible.
  4. Keep the combined-PDF switch on for one document, or turn it off for separate downloads.
  5. Convert and open the downloaded PDF to check order and clipping.

Inputs and processing

Images are decoded and the PDF is built in your browser. There is no image upload for this workflow. Each input may be up to 20 MB, but the total practical limit depends on available device memory. The result contains image pages, not an OCR text layer.

If something goes wrong

An image was skipped

Check its size and format. Export a fresh JPG or PNG if the browser cannot decode it.

Part of a page is missing

Select Fit to page rather than Fill page, then check margins and orientation.

The phone slows down

Reduce image dimensions first or convert a smaller batch.

Will image text become selectable?

No. OCR is required to add a searchable text layer.
